The interface to the PC's hardware and operating system primarily involves changing two files

• Timer & Thread Priority
• Printer Port (or another device) file that does byte read/writes

For DOS/Win9X these files are timer.c .h and pp_dport.c .h

For WinNT,2000 they are wtimer.c .h and tdlportio.cpp .h

For Linux they are linux_timer.c .h and pp_lport.c .h Also linux_conio.c replaces the console i/o routines.

alpha linux support was added at V1.08
